From the Authors: It was thrilling when the presenters of the coveted James Beard Cookbook Award called The Joslin Diabetes Gourmet Cookbook the "definitive cookbook for people with diabetes" while our names as co-authors and the cover of our cookbook were being flashed on the world-famous billboard at Times Square in New York City and at the same moment to millions of homes across the country via The Television Food Network. But, it's even more exciting when we hear time and time again through letters, phone calls, and in person that our cookbook has literally changed the lives of many diabetics who were looking for delicious, medically approved gourmet recipes for themselves and their family or to share with friends.
More to come--we've completed a new diabetic cookbook book which will be published in the fall of 1998. More about this book later.
